Research Proposal Reviewers’ Workshop at BAC

As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening research quality and transparency, the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) hosted a dynamic Research Proposal Reviewers’ Workshop on 20 March 2025. The event brought together participants from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of research evaluation.

Designed to equip both current and prospective reviewers with the tools and knowledge required for high-quality proposal assessment, the workshop offered in-depth guidance on ethical reviewing practices, robust evaluation criteria, and effective feedback strategies.

The BAC reaffirmed its dedication to fostering a rigorous, fair, and innovative research ecosystem, where funding decisions are made with integrity and academic merit at the forefront.

Participants lauded the workshop for its hands-on approach and practical relevance. Many noted an increased confidence in their ability to contribute to the peer review process—an essential pillar of academic and scientific progress.

The workshop was chaired by Professor Dr. Meshbauddin Ahmed, Chairman of BAC. Members of the Council, senior officials, and experts from various institutions also attended and actively contributed to the proceedings.
