The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop titled "Leadership in Times of Transition" on 26 June 2025, at the university campus. The session aimed to strengthen leadership capacities and foster reflective dialogue among faculty members in the context of institutional change and academic growth.

The workshop was inaugurated by ULAB’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jude William R. Genilo, who provided an overview of the training's objectives and its relevance to CETL’s broader leadership development agenda. He emphasized the university’s strategic commitment to nurturing empowered educators who can drive positive transformation within the institution.

Five faculty members took part in the workshop, which built on the insights gathered from the pilot session held on May 24, 2025. The session was facilitated by Dr. Sarkar Barbaq Quarmal, who drew upon lessons from the pilot to propose a roadmap for future improvements. He highlighted the critical role of self-assessment, mentoring, and strategic alignment with institutional goals in cultivating effective academic leadership.

In his closing remarks, CETL Director Dr. Mohammad Shazzad Hossain outlined actionable strategies to support faculty leadership development. He stressed the need for adaptive, forward-looking approaches to navigate the shifting landscape of higher education.

The ToT workshop served as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, collaborative reflection, and the professional development of ULAB faculty, reinforcing CETL’s role in promoting academic excellence through leadership training.
