ULAB Steady at THE Rankings 2025

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has once again solidified its position in the Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings, marking its fifth consecutive year of recognition. In the 2025 rankings, ULAB achieved top national positions in several key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), showcasing its unwavering commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development.

Most notably, ULAB ranked:

  • 1st in Bangladesh for both Gender Equality (SDG 5) and Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11),
  • 6th for Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), and
  • 8th for Quality Education (SDG 4).

The university was also recognized for its contributions to No Poverty (SDG 1) and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17)—underscoring its holistic approach to sustainability.

The 2025 Impact Rankings assessed 2,318 universities worldwide, including 20 from Bangladesh, evaluating performance against the 17 SDGs. ULAB’s continued excellence—especially its leadership in SDG 5 and SDG 11—signals its institutional strength in integrating sustainability into academic, operational, and community engagement strategies.

ULAB’s rise in the rankings reflects more than just academic achievement; it highlights a strategic governance model that aligns educational outcomes with national and global development priorities. Its graduates emerge not only as competent professionals but also as socially conscious citizens, poised to drive sustainable transformation both at home and abroad.
