Internal Auditors’ Briefing Session Held at ULAB

ULAB’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized an ISO Internal Auditors’ Briefing Session on 24 July 2025 at PD 204. The session aimed to strengthen the capacity of ULAB’s internal auditors by enhancing their understanding of ISO standards and compliance requirements.
In his remarks, Professor Jude William R. Genilo, Pro Vice-Chancellor and IQAC Director, emphasized the critical role of internal audits as a tool for continuous improvement, quality assurance, and organizational efficiency. He underscored how effective auditing fosters accountability, transparency, and adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Participants received practical insights on audit planning, implementation, reporting, and corrective actions in line with ISO guidelines. Dr. Wazir A.F. Ahmad, Additional Director of IQAC, facilitated the concluding part of the briefing, reinforcing the importance of consistency and precision in the audit process.
Resource persons highlighted the responsibility of internal auditors in identifying gaps, ensuring compliance with international standards, and supporting ULAB’s commitment to a culture of quality and excellence. The interactive session encouraged active participation and knowledge-sharing, further equipping auditors to strengthen the university’s quality management systems.
