ULAB Holds Orientation Ahead of ISO Surveillance Audit 2025
ISO External Audit Briefing Session on 17 September 2025
ULAB’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized an orientation session on 17 September 2025, in preparation for the upcoming ISO Surveillance Audit 2025, scheduled for 28 September 2025.
The session aimed to brief faculty members and administrative staff on the audit’s objectives, requirements, documentation processes, and effective strategies for responding to auditor inquiries.
Participants revisited key observations from previous audits, including recommendations for enhancing lecture planning, HR management, training outcomes, and the documentation of safety drills. The session also addressed areas for further improvement in quality procedures, HR records, student communication materials, and IT software management.
Special emphasis was placed on responding to auditor questions with confidence and professionalism. Attendees were encouraged to deepen their understanding of ULAB’s vision, mission, and goals, and to stay familiar with the institution’s quality objectives, departmental performance indicators, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The facilitators advised all staff to maintain updated virtual filing systems and to approach audits as opportunities for learning and continuous improvement, rather than as fault-finding exercises.
Professor Dr. Jude William R. Genilo, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Director of IQAC, conducted the opening session, while Dr. Wazir AF Ahmad, Additional Director of IQAC, led the concluding segment.
This initiative reaffirms ULAB’s steadfast commitment to quality assurance, institutional governance, and adherence to international standards of higher education management.
