The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CETL) successfully conducted a four-module Induction Training for Tertiary Teachers for the Fall 2025 term. The program was designed to equip newly appointed faculty members with essential pedagogical skills and to foster a student-centered, reflective, and professionally grounded teaching practice.

The training comprised four core modules: Teaching and Learning Strategies, Student Advising, Use of Technology and the Learning Management System (LMS), and Assessment of Learning. Each module combined practical, hands-on activities with expert insights delivered by distinguished resource persons, including Prof. Kaiser Haq, PhD; Dr. A. F. Wazir Ahmad; Dr. Arifa Rahman; and Dr. Mohammad Shazzad Hossain.

Throughout the sessions, participating faculty members actively engaged in discussions and interactive exercises, gaining valuable perspectives on outcome-based education, effective student mentoring, digital learning tools, and ethical and transparent assessment practices.

The program highlighted ULAB’s strong commitment to academic excellence, teaching innovation, and continuous faculty development. The training concluded with closing remarks from CETL Coordinator Ms. Iram Mehrin, who emphasized the importance of reflective teaching, adaptability, and lifelong learning in higher education.
