IQAC Director Delivers Keynote Speech at National Conference at University of Dhaka
Professor Dr. Jude William R. Genilo delivered welcome speech on 13 November 2025 at University of Dhaka
Professor Dr. Jude William Genilo, Acting Vice Chancellor and Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), delivered a keynote speech at the National Conference titled “Advancing Quality Assurance in Higher Education: Reflections from IQAC Leadership Across Universities in Bangladesh.” The conference was organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and held on Thursday, 13 November 2025, at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, University of Dhaka.
The event was graced by Professor Dr. Sayema Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration), University of Dhaka, as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic), University of Dhaka, and Professor Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Treasurer, University of Dhaka, attended as Special Guests. Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), was present as the Guest of Honor.
The conference commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Mustak Ibn Ayub, Additional Director, IQAC, University of Dhaka. Professor Dr. Jude William Genilo delivered the keynote address, where he shared critical insights on advancing internal quality assurance systems, strengthening Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across higher education institutions in Bangladesh. Professor Dr. Md. Saiful Alam, Additional Director, IQAC, University of Dhaka, also delivered a keynote address.
A total of 29 research papers were presented across two parallel sessions, addressing key themes such as Outcome-Based Education (OBE), curriculum development, internal quality assurance mechanisms, stakeholder engagement, and institutional governance.
The conference brought together IQAC Directors and Additional Directors from public and private universities across Bangladesh, providing a vital platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaborative learning aimed at strengthening quality assurance practices in the country’s higher education sector.
