Internal Auditors Briefing Session held on 27 November 2025.

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized on 27 November 2025 an Internal Auditors’ Briefing Session to enhance institutional quality assurance practices and strengthen internal audit procedures, reinforcing ULAB’s commitment to continuous improvement.

The session brought together both newly nominated and existing internal auditors from diverse academic and administrative units. Its primary objective was to familiarize participants with updated internal audit guidelines, standard operating procedures, and documentation requirements in line with ULAB’s Quality Assurance Framework and ISO 9001:2015 QMS standards.

During the briefing, IQAC officials emphasized the pivotal role of systematic internal audits in ensuring compliance, identifying gaps, and fostering a culture of quality across the University. Participants were introduced to the audit cycle, risk-based audit planning, reporting formats, and evidence-based evaluation methods. Practical demonstrations covered the use of checklists, non-conformity reporting, and follow-up mechanisms to ensure continuous corrective actions.

Dr. Jude William Genilo and Dr. Wazir AF Ahmad highlighted that internal auditors are key to maintaining transparency, accountability, and consistency in both academic and administrative services. The session also encouraged auditors to adopt a collaborative and improvement-oriented approach when engaging with departments.

The briefing concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to seek clarifications and share experiences regarding internal audit practices. IQAC expressed appreciation to all attendees and reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing a robust quality culture throughout ULAB.

The Internal Auditors’ Briefing Session represents another important step toward strengthening ULAB’s internal quality assurance system and ensuring sustained excellence in higher education.
