ULAB Reconstitutes Quality Assurance Committee

ULAB’s QAC members for 2026-27
The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has reconstituted its Quality Assurance Committee (QAC), reaffirming its commitment to strengthening institutional quality and governance. The QAC functions as an advisory body to the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), providing strategic guidance on academic standards, continuous improvement, and quality enhancement initiatives across the university.
The newly appointed committee members will serve a two-year term, effective 22 February 2026. The reconstituted QAC comprises distinguished representatives from academic leadership, governance, and administration, including:
- Professor Shamsad Mortuza, PhD - Vice Chancellor (Chair)
- Professor Jude William R. Genilo, PhD – Pro Vice Chancellor, and Director of IQAC
- Mr. Kazi Nabil Ahmed, – Representative, Board of Trustees
- Professor Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee – Treasurer, ULAB
- Professor Kaiser Mohamed Hamidul Haq, PhD – Dean, School of Arts and Humanities
- Professor Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, PhD-Dean, School of Business
- Professor Din M. Sumon Rahman, PhD-Dean, School of Social Sciences
- Professor Shahnaj Husne Jahan, PhD – Senior Academician
- Ms Arifa Ghani Rahman-Senior Academician
- Professor Serajul Islam Prodhan, PhD-UGC Representative
- Lt. Col. Md. Foyzul Islam (Retd) – Registrar, ULAB
- Dr. Mohammad Shazzad Hossain – Director, Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL)

The reconstitution of the QAC reflects ULAB’s continued emphasis on robust quality assurance mechanisms aligned with national and international standards. Through the strengthened committee, the university aims to further institutionalize a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement in all aspects of its academic and administrative operations.
