ULAB Faculty Members Showcase Research at International Conference on Innovation, Excellence and Quality for Transformation in Higher Education 2026
ULAB Faculty Members at IUB Conference held 12-13 June 2026
Five faculty members from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) showcased their research at the International Conference on Innovation, Excellence and Quality for Transformation in Higher Education 2026, held on 12 and 13 June 2026, at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). The conference brought together scholars, researchers, quality assurance professionals, and higher education practitioners from around the world to discuss emerging trends and innovations in higher education.
Representing ULAB, Professor Jude William R. Genilo and Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin presented the paper titled “A Survey on the Proposed AMIC Accreditation Services (AAS): Member Responses and Moving Forward” in the session on Quality Assurance and Accreditation. Their presentation examined stakeholder perceptions of the proposed accreditation framework and stimulated discussion on strengthening quality assurance and accreditation practices in higher education.
In the Assessment and Integrity session, Dr. Sadia Haque presented her working paper, “Students’ Perception on Level of Feedback on Assessment Works.” The study explored students’ experiences and expectations regarding feedback on academic assessments, contributing to ongoing discussions on assessment quality and student learning outcomes. Dr. Wazir A.F. Ahmed, together with two co-authors, presented “Trending Research Topics on Outcome-Based Education in Bangladesh: A Bibliometric Analysis Based on Scopus Data (1990–2026).” The paper mapped the evolution of outcome-based education research in Bangladesh and identified key themes, emerging trends, and future directions in the field.
In a multidisciplinary session, Dr. Mohammad Shazzad Hossain and a co-author presented “E-Readiness and Practical Filmmaking Education: Exploring Knowledge, Skills and Learning Quality in Online Higher Education in Bangladesh.” The study examined the opportunities and challenges of delivering practical filmmaking education through online learning platforms. The participation of ULAB faculty members in this international conference reflects the university’s commitment to research excellence, academic innovation, and global engagement. Their presentations highlighted the breadth and quality of research being conducted at ULAB while creating opportunities for scholarly exchange, collaboration, and professional networking with national and international peers.
