ULAB Ranked 36th Globally in the WURI Ranking 2026.

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has been ranked 36th globally and 1st in Bangladesh in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026. Among nearly 2,000 participating universities worldwide, ULAB is the only Bangladeshi institution to secure a place in the Global Top 40 this year.

This achievement marks another milestone in ULAB’s sustained commitment to innovation and impact. The university has remained within WURI’s Global Top 100 for six consecutive years, steadily advancing from 100th place in 2021 to 36th place in 2026. This consistent progress reflects ULAB’s strategic focus on innovation, sustainability, community engagement, and transformative education.

Rather than competing through scale alone, ULAB has distinguished itself through high-impact initiatives that connect teaching, research, and service with real-world challenges. This approach continues to gain international recognition and demonstrates how a relatively small university can create meaningful global impact.

In WURI 2026, ULAB achieved notable rankings in several categories:

  • 5th globally in Social Impact through Knowledge Transfer
  • 30th globally in Crisis Management
  • 61st globally in Digital and AI Transformation in Strategy and Management
  • Recognition in ethics and integrity, technology transfer, and future-oriented education

These achievements reflect ULAB’s commitment to producing socially responsible graduates, advancing sustainable development, fostering innovation, and contributing to the public good.

The university also acknowledges the leadership of Prof. Jude William Genilo, Pro Vice-Chancellor, whose vision and dedication have played a key role in strengthening ULAB’s international visibility and advancing its ranking initiatives. The achievement is the result of the collective efforts of ULAB’s students, faculty members, officers, staff, alumni, partners, and supporters.

As ULAB celebrates this accomplishment, the university remains committed to further strengthening its culture of innovation, sustainability, research excellence, creativity, and public engagement, while continuing to contribute meaningfully to national and global development.
