SAQS Peer Review Team Visits ULAB for USB Accreditation

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) School of Business (USB) reached an important milestone in its pursuit of international quality recognition with the visit of a South Asian Quality Assurance System (SAQS) Peer Review Team from 11 to 13 August 2026. The three-day visit represented the final evaluation stage of USB’s SAQS accreditation process, reflecting the School’s sustained commitment to academic excellence, continuous improvement, and regional engagement. The accreditation is administered by the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA), a regional network dedicated to strengthening the quality of management education.
The Peer Review Team, comprising distinguished academics and industry experts from across South Asia, conducted a comprehensive assessment of USB based on its Self-Assessment Report (SAR). As part of the review, the team engaged with ULAB leadership, faculty members, students, alumni, administrative staff, and employers. These consultations provided an opportunity to examine the School’s performance and practices across key areas, including governance, academic programs, teaching and learning, research, student support, industry engagement, and institutional resources.
The visit also provided USB with an opportunity to reflect on its strengths, identify areas for further improvement, and demonstrate the evidence-based quality assurance practices embedded in its academic and administrative operations. Detailed schedules, supporting documents, and stakeholder consultations were coordinated in preparation for the review.
The Peer Review Team’s visit marks a significant step forward in USB’s accreditation journey. Following the evaluation, AMDISA will make the final decision on SAQS accreditation. Successful accreditation would further strengthen ULAB’s regional profile and affirm USB’s commitment to quality, relevance, continuous improvement, and excellence in management education.
