The UGC aims to establish institutional quality assurance cells in every public and private university to develop a mechanism for the systematic review of institutional activities and study programs, to ensure quality teaching-learning, research, knowledge generation and support services standards at an acceptable level. All universities with more than 1,000 students are eligible to access the IQAC fund.
