IQAC Director,Additional Director Attend Overseas Trainings

ULAB IQAC Director Jude William Genilo and Additional Director Wazir AF Ahmad participated in overseas training organized under the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) of the University Grants Commission (UGC). Ahmad, along with 15 other directors, additional directors and UGC officials, attended the Edu Leads Consulting training from 28 March to 8 April 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The training aimed to develop the skill, knowledge and experience for the capacity building of universities for quality assurance activities and provide participants with a solid grounding in selected quality assurance areas such as outcome-based education and assessment, governance, research and publications. During the trip, the delegates visited several universities – University of Malaya, HELP University, University of Nottingham, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Malaya and Asia Pacific University of Technology and Information.

Genilo, along with 17 other directors, additional directors and UGC officials, attended the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) workshop from 25 April to 6 May 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand. The training aimed to orient the educators towards planning and using tools for implementing quality assurance projects; review key aspects of management approaches; and enable participants to design appropriate methods for applying advanced monitoring and evaluation tools for overseeing quality assurance and reporting procedures. During the trip, the delegates visited several universities – Asian Institute of Technology, Kasetsart University, Rangsit University and King Mongkut’s University of Technology.
