BAC Holds Workshop on New Regulations

The Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) organized a two-day long workshop on the Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF) and the BAC Accreditation Standards and Criteria from 13 to 14 June 2021 over the virtual zoom platform. On 13 June, the session commenced with the welcome speech by Mr. Istiaque Ahmad, Member, Bangladesh Accreditation Council while Professor Meshbahuddin Ahmed, Chairman of Accreditation Council spoke as chair of the session. Professor Sanjoy Kumar Chowdhury, Member of Bangladesh Accreditation Council delivered his speech regarding the implementation of BNQF in Higher Education. On 14 June, the session started with the speech by Prof S. M Kabir, Member of Bangladesh Accreditation Council on Adoption and Maintenance of BAC Accreditation Standards and Criteria. Professor Md. Golam Shahi Alam, Member of Bangladesh Accreditation Council, delivered the vote of thanks. The two-day long workshop was hosted by Prof. AKM Monirul Islam, Secretary, Bangladesh Accreditation Council. Deans, HoDs and Directors/Additional Directors of IQAC of various public and private universities were invited to attend. Prof. Shamsad Mortuza, Acting Vice Chancellor and Dean of School of Arts and Humanities; Prof. Jude William Genilo, Director of IQAC and Dean of School of Social Science; Prof. Mofazzal Hossain, Dean, School of Science and Engineering; and Wazir AF Ahmad, Additional Director of IQAC, participated in the workshop as representatives of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB).
