The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) organized a series of workshops (29 July, 5 August, and 2 September) on Assessment Rubrics. In the current pandemic context, assessment has become a concern for many academics and institutions. CETL organized this workshop series to keep ULAB colleagues updated about the innovative assessment practices. More specifically, these workshops emphasized the use of rubrics to make the assessment standardized. Some of the intended learning outcomes of these workshops were, for example, to reflect on the experience of marking with and without rubrics, comprehend the purposes of using assessment rubrics, understanding the benefits and challenges of using rubrics, and appreciate how to apply some of the key principles of rubrics to assessment marking. Academics from three globally renowned universities facilitated these workshops. On average, more than fifty ULAB academics attended each of these workshops.
