The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) passed the second surveillance audit held 30 September 2021 to maintain its ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System Certification. The certification covers all academic and administrative support activities of the university's undergraduate and graduate programs. Mukul Johari and V.K. Saxena from the Equalitas Certifications Limited conducted the surveillance audit online. They interviewed and inspected documents from various non-academic departments like Human Resource Unit, Student Affairs Office, Career Services Center, Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), Co-curricular Office, IT Office, Admissions Office, Library and Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The academic departments audited were: Electrical and Electronics Engineering, English and Humanities, and Business Administration (BBA, MBA and EMBA). At the end of the audit, the auditors conducted an exit meeting with the top administrators of the university, led by ULAB Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Shamsad Mortuza. The university's ISO 9001: 2015 journey started five years ago. In March 2015, ULAB Vice President Dr. Kazi Anis Ahmed and then Vice Chancellor (now Special Adviser to the BoT) Prof. Imran Rahman approved the proposal for ISO Quality Management System Certification. They believed that the exercise will help ULAB become more efficient. It will enable the university to focus on its core areas - leading to increased productivity and better student service. ISO is likewise a globally recognized standard, which will improve the reputation of the university.

Equalitas Certifications Limited Auditor V.K. Saxena identifies the areas for improvement for the ULAB quality management system during the closing meeting.
