MA in Digital Technologies, Communication and Education Director Miss Susan Brown and her colleague Dr. Taslima Ivy from the University of Manchester presented a talk entitled "Sustainability in Curriculum" at ULAB on 25 March organized by the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). Earlier on the 31 July Miss Brown presented the first session of this discussion series. This series was organized as a part of ULAB’s commitment to the nation’s sustainable development goals and on-going initiatives for translating such commitment into teaching-learning activities. Ms. Brown discussed issues relevant to sustainability in education but more importantly the ways to overcome them. She highlighted that sustainability needs to be conceptualized broadly through a disciplinary collaboration. She emphasized colleagues’ best practices and examples of resilience. The session was made very interactive as colleagues got the opportunity to brainstorm interpreting ULAB’s mission and quality objectives into transferable actions. ULAB Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Shamsad Mortuza along with colleagues from different departments attended the discussion.
