UGC Conducts OBE Curriculum Development Workshop

University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) organized a workshop on Outcome based Curriculum at UGC Bhaban, Dhaka on 17 and 18 April 2022. UGC’s Strategic Planning & Quality Assurance Division organized this event. Professor Biswajit Chanda, a member of UGC inaugurated the workshop. Dr. Farheen Hassan, Director of IQAC, AIUB spoke as a resource personnel on the first day of the workshop, while Professor Md. Ashraful Alam, Director of IQAC, SUST facilitated the workshop on the second day. They detailed on the concept of OBE, OBE Curriculum, OBE Curriculum Template, implementation of OBE Curriculum and assessment of learning outcomes. ULAB sent a delegation consisting of five faculty members from different departments to participate in the two day-long curriculum development workshop. The delegation included: Arifa Ghani Rahman, Associate Professor and Head, Department of English and Humanities; Wazir Ahmed, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration; Faisal Mohammad Shahriar, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration; Dr. Sarkar Barbaq Quarmal, Assistant Professor, Department of Media Studies and Journalism; and Bikash Ch. Bhowmick, Assistant Professor, Department of Media Studies and Journalism. The workshop ended with a closing remark delivered by Professor Sazzad Hossain, a member of UGC.
