The CETL ULAB held an online session on qualitative data analysis on 8 September 2022. This session, titled "Quirkos at Your Service: Making Qualitative Data Analysis a Little Easier," was led by Raihan Jamil, Ph.D. He teaches corporate and business communication as an Associate Professor at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). Additionally, he is an affiliated faculty member in the Department of Media Studies and Journalism. He introduced Quirkos and explored some of the challenges inherent in the typical qualitative data processing software NVivo. He demonstrated in his lecture how Quirkos may overcome certain problems that NVivo cannot. The workshop provided an introduction to and practice with Quirkos for qualitative data coding. This session concluded with a brief but fruitful discussion on how ULAB faculties could further build their research portfolio through doing some collaborative research projects across the discipline.
