BAC organized workshop on research accounts management

Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) organized a workshop titled “Research Project Management” on 29 May 2024. The researchers awarded the 2023-2025 round of BAC Research grant participated in the day-long workshop that focused on the fiscal management of a research project. The workshop was held at the Council’s seminar room.

BAC Full-time Member Professor Dr. Gulshan Ara Latifa presided over the session. In her welcome address, Dr Gulshan Ara Latifa emphasized the issue of proper management and organization in any research project. She said that without proper management of the research project, good-actionable insights cannot be produced. She also said that BAC will keep supporting research activities within its limitations for the enhancement of the country’s quality of higher education. BAC Chair Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed inaugurated the workshop. He urged the researchers to produce quality research which will help BAC and other stakeholders assure the highest quality of education in the country. He also said that all researchers must strive to ensure ethical standards in every aspect of a research project including conducting and reporting research.

BAC Full-time member Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Shahi Alam, the Director of Finance, Planning and ICT of BAC Mr. Goutam Chandra Roy and BAC Deputy Director (Finance) Mr. Mohammad Abdul Alim conducted the workshop. They discussed various aspects of research project management with special focus on fiscal management according to the BAC Research Policies 2022. Later, they addressed the questions and issues raised by the participants regarding their individual project management.

The workshop ended with the Vote of Thanks delivered by BAC Full-time Member Professor Dr. Gulshan Ara Latifa.  BAC Deputy Director Dr Farzana Sharmin moderated the session.
