CETL Orientation Sets the Stage for ULAB's New Faculty Members

New Faculties and Resources Persons are in the frame

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) held an orientation for five new faculty members for the Summer 2024 term on Thursday, 6 June 2024, at the ULAB campus. The event featured a warm welcome from the top management of the university.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman opened the session by discussing ULAB’s vision, mission, and values, followed by an interactive session on personalized teaching and research philosophy led by Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Jude William Genilo.

Assistant Professor and MBA Director Asif Uddin Ahmed discussed creating interactive classrooms for Generation Z students. Proctor of ULAB, Arzoo Ismail introduced the Proctor's Office, while Sr. Manager HR, Bikas Basak gave an overview of the Human Resource Office. Professor Shahnaj Husne Jahan, Director of the General Education Department, highlighted the diverse courses of ULAB, aligning with ULAB's liberal arts philosophy. A video message from Sameera Zaman, Research Associate of the Center for Sustainable Development showcased the center's projects and mission. The orientation concluded with a dialogue between the new faculty members and CETL Director Dr. M. Shazzad Hossain, fostering collaboration and support.
