IQAC organized a Risk and Safety Workshop on 24 October 2024.

 

On 24 October 2024, the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized an in-depth “Risk & Safety Workshop” at PD 109 on ULAB’s permanent campus.  The session opened with a warm welcome from Wazir A F Ahmad, Additional Director of IQAC, who introduced the workshop’s objectives and underscored its significance. The workshop was led by Mr. M.R. Khan, CEO of Integrated Risk Consulting Group, who delivered an engaging and informative session covering critical topics such as Risk Fundamentals, Fire Safety Basics, Safety and Security Protocols, and Hazard Identification.

Using video demonstrations, Mr. Khan effectively illustrated the rapid progression of fire, highlighting the crucial importance of proactive fire prevention and protection measures. He also shared real-world case studies, offering participants valuable insights into risk management practices and best practices for mitigating potential hazards.

The workshop drew a diverse audience, including members of ULAB’s proctorial team, directors, heads of administrative units, and officers from academic departments. This training equipped participants with vital knowledge to enhance safety awareness and preparedness throughout the university community.
