IQAC Director Joins UNESCO’s Expert Meeting

UNESCO Bangkok held its Asia-Pacific Expert Meeting: Implementing National Qualifications Frameworks (NQF) at the subject level on 23-24 November 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand. The meeting provided an opportunity to gain valuable feedback on how to implement National Qualifications Frameworks (NQF) at subject level. Around 60 participants from 18 countries from Asia Pacific Region took part in this interactive meeting. Dean Akanisi, Faculty of Arts, Law and Education was one guest speaker who helped to explore the quality standards, learning outcomes and how to make sure they work for students and in higher education management. The keynote speakers included Prof. Ved Prakash, Former Chairman of University Grants Commission of India; Prof. Jayantha Lal Ratnasekera, Vice Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University, Sri Lanka; Prof. Don Martin, Author of Road Map for Graduate Study, Former Dean of admission for Columbia University, The University of Chicago and Northwestern University, USA; and Mr. Wesley Teter, Senior Project Officer, UNESCO Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau for Education, Bangkok, Thailand. IQAC Director Prof. Jude William Genilo was invited to attend the meeting.
