QAC Holds its 22nd Meeting
QAC members at the 22nd QAC meeting on 11 December 2024
The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) convened its 22nd meeting on 11 December 2024, at the Chancellery Boardroom. The meeting was presided over by ULAB Vice Chancellor, Professor Imran Rahman.
Key agenda items were presented and discussed by Pro Vice Chancellor and Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Professor Dr. Jude William R. Genilo. These included: (1) Feedback from the ISO external audit; (2) Internal audit plan for Summer Term 2024, (3) Highlights of Safety and Risk Reports, (4) QS World University Rankings (WUR) updates; and (5) Graduate Exit Survey Report for Spring 2024.
Present at the meeting were several esteemed faculty members and administrative staff, including: Professor Kaiser Mohamed Hamidul Haq; Professor Dr. Serajul Islam Prodhan (UGC Representative to QAC); Professor Shahnaj Husne Jahan; Ms. Arifa Ghani Rahman; Professor S.M. Mahbubur Rahman; Professor Sarwar Uddin Ahmed; Dr. Shazzad Hossain, Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL); Registrar Lt Col Md. Foyzul Islam (Retd); Dr. Wazir AF Ahmad, IQAC Additional Director; and Md. Bachu Mia, IQAC Assistant Manager.
Special presentations were made during the meeting. Dr. Barbaq Quarmal presented the Graduate Exit Survey Report for Spring 2024, while Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, Interim Director of the Institutional Ranking Cell (IRC), shared updates on ULAB’s QS WUR Rankings. The meeting served as a productive platform to assess ULAB’s progress in quality assurance initiatives and to strategize for continuous institutional improvement.
